FDB Møbler har en lang historie med smukke sofaer som omdrejningspunkt i hjemmet. Og designeren Thomas Alken har tegnet den historie ind i modulsofaen 7-9-13. Det er den rene, nordiske lethed, som går tilbage til dansk møbeldesigns guldalder.

Det er også en sofa med en anden funktionalitet; for sofaen bliver brugt anderledes i dag. Vi spiser, sover og slapper af i sofaen, og det er alt sammen tænkt ind i 7-9-13’s små detaljer, ligesom sofaen skal være let at flytte rundt på og arrangere anderledes. Desuden lagde designeren vægt på, at den skal føles rar at være nøgen i. Det var ikke noget, de store møbeldesignere i 1950’erne tænkte så meget over.
